E-specプロジェクト(8) 下地処理＆塗装工程

いよいよ製作しているカヤックの進水式が近づいてきました。

今週末の天気はどうにかです。

残りの工程。シーラー材で下地処理した後に塗装を行います。

 

シーラー材は竹内化成製の２液性サンディングシーラーを使用。

厚塗りができ、１時間ほどで硬化してサンディング処理ができます。

結構、扱いやすいシーラー材です。

表面の凹凸をシーラーを塗っては削りを繰り返して埋めます。

下地の処理が終了すると、いよいよ本塗装へ・・・・・。

 

今回のカラーリングも前回と同様に白黒のツートンカラーで決定。

 

今まで塗料が悪くて最終的に塗装工程で残念なことなってましたが、

今回は少し高価なウレタン塗料で塗ります。

１．５ｋｇ缶が黒色で６，３００円、白色４，２００円也

う～ん、結構しますね。

でも仕上がりがよければ全てよしということで、背に腹は代えられません。

最後はエポキシ樹脂で表面を固く仕上げます。

う～ん、D-specの時からは表面の艶が違います。

遠目からはとりあえず合格

 

現在、残業で艤装工程中ですが、進水式前の公開はとりあえずここまで。

 

完成品は６月９日の進水式後、帰宅して爆睡しなかったら公開予定です。

格段とクオリティーが上がりましたね。光沢や質感もグットですし、ワンピースならではの滑らかなラインも綺麗に仕上がっていますね。日曜日が楽しみです。

最近、近くのものがよく見えなくって困ってます。

はじめて塗装後にエポキシを塗ってみました
。ウレタン塗料をきれいに塗れたと思った後に、いきなり進水式で
ガリガリすると寂しいですものね。
結果はエポキシの方が硬度が高く傷つき難い感じです。
エポキシは竹内化成のものを妙義カヤック工房で購入。
エポキシはウレタンに対して濡れ性が悪いみたいで、弾いていたので
部分的に砥石のついたスポンジでこすってつけました。
この処理が成功か失敗かは数年後に・・・。

ウォー，すごい！かっこいい！実物を早く見てみたいところなんですが，都合で進水式には伺えません。残念……。次回のツーリングかキャンプで拝見させていただきます。できたら試乗もさせてください。楽しみにしています。

（いまの歳ではそんなことないけど・・・・・）
確か、６月末ぐらいに香川で漕ぐような予定があったような気がします。
コックピットと線幅の大きさはnashさんに言われたことを参考にしてます。
きっと今度はバランスしやすいと思ってます。
